Call for Visiting Fellowship and Scholarship Applications - April 2012 to April 2013

The ANU Centre for European Studies Centre (ANUCES) is a joint initiative of the Australian National University (ANU) and the European Union. It underscores the university-wide commitment to European studies. Located at the heart of diplomatic and political life in Canberra, ANUCES now involves the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences, ANU College of Law, ANU College of Business and Economics, and ANU College of Asia and the Pacific.

Society for Educational Studies “Highly Commended” Award

At the recent Society of Educational Studies Annual Seminar held in London, Professor Mike Osborne and Dr Muir Houston of the University of Glasgow were members of the research team1 whose book: Improving What is Learned at University: An Exploration of the Social and Organisational Diversity of University Education, was Highly Commended in the Society's Annual Book Prize. Judging criteria included: quality of research, originality of analysis and argument and quality and accessibility of writing.

Community Service and Community Engagement in Four African Universities

This book reports on a pan-African action research project that investigated how universities used their third mission of 'community service' to address the internationally agreed Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in the context of their country's development priorities. 

Sources of Trust Building in Innovation Networks and the Contribution of Network Management

Here is a presentation made by Martina Kauffeld-Monz (Institute for Urban Research and Structural Policy, IfS Berlin) made at the Net¹swork11 International Conference on Professional Network Management on 24th November 2011 in Potsdam, entitled, Sources of Trust Building in Innovation Networks and the Contribution of Network Management. Further papers will appear on the Net¹swork11 website.
